Role Description The Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. The person in this position will coordinate daily shipment activities, including booking cargo, preparing documentation, tracking shipments, and ensuring on-time delivery across ocean, air, and inland transport. Responsibilities include communicating with carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and clients to confirm schedules, resolve issues, and provide timely shipment status updates. The Logistics Coordinator will support inventory and order management, verify data accuracy in logistics systems, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and client requirements. The role also involves handling customer inquiries, collaborating with internal teams to optimize logistics processes, and preparing regular reports on operational performance and shipment milestones.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret shipment data, identify issues, and support process improvements.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, carriers, and internal teams in a clear and professional manner.
  • Customer service skills to manage inquiries, handle escalations, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain management to support order accuracy, stock visibility, and efficient flow of goods.
  • Prior experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or 3PL operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation, Incoterms, and basic regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with logistics or ERP systems and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, documentation tools).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
