Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly capable Lead Engineer, System to closely drive the development of advanced sensor products, with strong focus on electronics, embedded software, optics, and mechanical engineering.


In this role, you will act as the technical leader and product-level owner, responsible for resolving complex technical challenges across the product development lifecycle. You will be recognized as the go-to technical expert for your assigned product(s) and technology domain, ensuring deep end-to-end system understanding and successful product delivery


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead system architecture development for sensor products across electronics, embedded software, optics, and mechanical domains
  • Translate stakeholder needs into robust system requirements and cascade them to domain tea
  • Own system-level integration, validation, troubleshooting activities and final product performance outcomes
  • Act as the technical authority responsible for all technical issues during product development
  • Serve as the technical owner of assigned product(s) and technologies, maintaining deep system knowledge and providing expert guidance throughout entire product lifecycle
  • Lead resolution of complex technical challenges and cross-domain integration issues
  • Review and approve system requirements, design outputs, and verification/validation strategies
  • Drive and oversee System FMEA and technical risk management activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant product and regulatory standards (e.g., EMC/EMI, thermal, vibration), with strong working knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., IEC 60947-5-2/3) and the ability to interpret and translate them into system requirements, design constraints, and validation strategies
  • Coordinate and align technical activities across multidisciplinary teams and business clusters
  • Support innovation through feasibility studies, benchmarking, and new technology introduction


Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Computer, Physics, or Engineering Product Development related fields
  • Minimum 5+ years of System Engineering experience
  • Proven delivery of at least 3 full product development cycle
  • Strong experience in complex embedded systems development
  • Demonstrated success in technical leadership and problem-solving in multidisciplinary projects


Technical Competencies

  • Strong technical expertise in at least one core area (electronics and/or embedded software), with strong cross-disciplinary knowledge in optics, mechanical design, and production processes, enabling full system-level integration and technical ownership
  • Strong expertise in requirements engineering, system design, and validation testing
  • Specialist-level knowledge of product standards and compliance requirements, with the ability to interpret, apply, and guide implementation across system design and validation
  • Solid experience in System FMEA and reliability engineering
  • Proficiency with engineering tools (JAMA, JIRA, CAQ, Enterprise Architect, etc
  • Ability to define and guide simulation and validation strategies
  • Good understanding of production processes, manufacturability, and lifecycle considerations
