Job Title: GIS Analyst Assistant

Job Summary: The GIS Analyst Assistant will work closely with team members to support the organisation’s operations. This role involves assisting in data collection, image processing, map production, and other GIS-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection, Processing and Management:

• Assist in collecting, processing and verifying geospatial data from various sources.
• Organize and maintain GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy.
• Update and manage geospatial datasets as needed.
• Assist in processing and refining geospatial.
• Conduct basic spatial analysis and assist in generating reports and visualizations.
• Help in digitizing, and converting data formats.

Map Production:

• Assist in creating maps using GIS software (e.g., QGIS).
• Format and design maps for presentations and reports.

Fieldwork Support:

• Participate in field data collection activities, including data collection and surveys.
• Help maintain and calibrate field equipment.

Communication & collaboration:

• Collaborate with team members in GIS operations & fieldwork.
• Communicate effectively within the team to ensure goals are met.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/STPM/SPM qualification.
• Willingness to travel to estate locations as required.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn GIS applications.
• Must possess a valid Class D driving licence and be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,499.00 per month

• Miri: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Driving: 1 year (Required)
