Job Summary

The Senior Data Centre Project Engineer will lead and coordinate technical delivery of data center build and fit-out projects, ensuring facilities achieve top standards in power density, cooling, connectivity and uptime.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage data center buildout and fit-out projects from design through commissioning and handover to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and cooling contractors to meet infrastructure capacity, redundancy and performance requirements
• Oversee installation and commissioning of power systems including UPS, PDUs and generators to ensure reliable power supply
• Supervise deployment of cooling systems such as CRAC/CRAH units, in-row and liquid cooling and structured cabling to maintain optimal thermal conditions
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers and vendor/contractor relationships to control project scope and costs
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks and acceptance testing to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards including Uptime Institute Tier and TIA-942
• Apply solid knowledge of data center power and cooling infrastructure components to troubleshoot and optimize system performance
• Manage structured cabling, rack/cabinet layout and network infrastructure deployment to support operational efficiency
• Demonstrate proven experience managing or supporting data center construction, fit-out, or capacity expansion projects to ensure successful project execution
• Utilize familiarity with industry standards and best practices such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942 and ASHRAE guidelines to guide project decisions and compliance
