Job Description-

Responsibilities:-

Switching (LAN) :

• Perform switch lifecycle activities including standardization, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Setup and basic configuration of layer 2, layer 3 switches & routers.
• Hands on Exp on Cisco switches: Cisco 9300, 6500, 4500 /Nexus 7000, 5000 etc

Configure and troubleshooting of:

• VLANs, trunking VTP,access policies
• STP/RSTP/MST for loop prevention and resiliency
• EtherChannel / LACP for redundancy and throughput
• HSRP/VRRP for gateway redundancy
• Routing protocols: Static, RIPv2, EIGRP, OSPF & BGP.
• Other protocols: ACL, NAT, PAT, DHCP, HSRP
• Troubleshooting other issues related to, Broadcast storms, Spanning-tree inconsistencies, Port security and MAC address issues.

WAN & SD-WAN

• Configure and Troubleshoot SD-WAN issues.
• Coordination with ISP vendors providers to manage.
• Circuit provisioning, Failover testing , Performance SLAs
• Troubleshoot WAN and SD‑WAN issues involving latency, packet loss, and routing asymmetry.

Wireless Networking (WLAN)

• Design, deploy, and manage wireless networks across offices, labs, and manufacturing environments.

Perform wireless: Site surveys, Capacity planning, RF optimization.

• Configure and maintain: SSIDs, authentication policies (802.1X, certificates)
• Guest and segmented wireless access
• Troubleshoot RF interference, roaming, and client performance issues.
• Troubleshooting access related issue with guest and prevailing ssids
• Ensure wireless compliance with corporate security and regulatory requirements.
• Support high-reliability wireless use cases in operational and laboratory environments.

Palo Alto Firewall & Network Security

• Configuration and Troubleshooting issue Palo Alto and Panorama firewalls.

1.Configure and maintain:

• Security policies and rule bases
• NAT, routing, and VPNs (site-to-site and remote access)
• Investigating incidents, Addressing vulnerabilities and support audits and compliance findings.
• Implemented Changes are per the change requests
• Perform firewall upgrades, policy optimization, and rule clean-up activities.
