Technical Project Manager (Silicon Development)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Onsite)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Silicon Development to lead and coordinate complex semiconductor product development programs. The ideal candidate will manage cross-functional teams across hardware, silicon design, verification, validation, and product engineering to ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for silicon development programs from concept through tape-out and production.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including ASIC/SoC Design, Verification, Physical Design, DFT, Validation, Firmware, and Product Engineering.
• Track project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and drive mitigation plans.
• Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular status updates to senior management and customers.
• Facilitate technical discussions, issue resolution, and decision-making across engineering teams.
• Ensure alignment of project deliverables with business objectives and product roadmap.
• Drive process improvements and best practices in project execution and development lifecycle management.
• Support product release planning, qualification activities, and transition to manufacturing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project/program management within the semiconductor or silicon development industry.
• Must have silicon development experience
• Proven experience managing full silicon development lifecycles, including design, verification, tape-out, bring-up, and production.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor development processes and methodologies.
• Experience working with ASIC, SoC, FPGA, or semiconductor product development teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
