Compliance Manager | 5 days | Up to MYR12,000 | Johor Bahru
Position: Compliance Manager
Salary: MYR9,000 – MYR12,000
Working location: Johor Bahru
Working day Mon - Fri
Working hours 9am to 6pm
Job Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Compliance & Stakeholder Management
Act as key liaison with regulators and manage regulatory communications.
Provide advisory support to business units on regulatory expectations and practical implementation.
Communicate compliance risks, developments, and key updates to senior management.
Oversee periodic compliance reviews and ensure timely remediation of identified gaps.
Partner business units to strengthen controls while supporting operational objectives.
2. Risk Analytics & Insights
Lead data-driven risk analysis using tools such as Excel/Tableau to identify emerging trends and anomalies.
Conduct thematic reviews (e.g., trade-in, reissuance patterns, outlet practices) to detect risk exposures.
Provide actionable insights and recommend practical risk mitigation strategies.
Perform on-site engagement with outlets to validate operational practices and gather intelligence.
3. Regulatory Reporting & Governance
Oversee accuracy and completeness of regulatory submissions (monthly returns, PSPM, CTR, STR, etc.).
Identify control gaps and drive remediation across business units.
Lead Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) review for operational risks.
Strengthen governance frameworks and improve reporting processes.
4. Leadership & Capability Building
Prioritize and coordinate team resources for urgent risk and compliance reviews.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
Drive compliance awareness through targeted training and engagement with business units.
Foster collaborative working relationships to balance compliance requirements and business needs.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in any discipline
At least 6–10 years of working experience in compliance, risk, audit, operations, or related functions
Candidates from financial services, lending, pawnshop, or relevant operational environments will have an advantage
Candidates with manufacturing QA/QC or process control experience are also encouraged to apply
Basic understanding of Malaysian regulatory requirements and AML/CFT principles will be an added advantage
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with business teams
Able to work independently with a hands-on and practical mindset
Willing to travel regularly across Malaysia
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
