Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technical Service Engineer role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Technical Service Engineer will install, configure, test, and maintain IoT, people counting, and security systems at client sites. Responsibilities include providing technical support to customers, diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance. The role involves working closely with project teams and vendors to ensure smooth system deployment, integration, and handover. The Technical Service Engineer will also document technical issues and solutions, prepare service reports, support user training, and assist in continuous improvement of service processes.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Technical Services, including system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proven Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to interpret technical data, logs, and system performance metrics.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and clients, and for preparing clear documentation.
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with IoT systems, security solutions, or building management technologies is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site at customer locations, occasionally outside standard office hours, when required.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple service tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, routers, switches) and basic scripting or configuration tools is a plus.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Malaysia when needed.
