Lighthouse Testing Services Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced

Chemist

to join our laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and overseeing chemical analysis of petroleum products, marine fuels, lubricants, water, and other related samples. The role requires strong technical expertise in analytical chemistry, laboratory quality management, and compliance with international testing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee chemical analysis of petroleum products, marine fuels, lubricants, water, and related samples.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Review, verify, and approve laboratory test results before release.
• Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with ASTM, ISO, IP, and other internationally recognized test methods.
• Develop, validate, and implement laboratory analytical methods.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system requirements.
• Supervise laboratory activities and provide technical guidance to laboratory personnel.
• Lead laboratory investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in internal and external audits, proficiency testing, and laboratory accreditation activities.
• Prepare technical reports and provide technical support to clients and management.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company policies.
• Monitor laboratory consumables, chemicals, and equipment to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
• Perform other laboratory and technical duties as assigned by management.
