Assistant General Manager / General Manager – Project (Johor Bahru)


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Assistant General Manager / General Manager – Project to lead and oversee large-scale property development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project performance, ensuring timely delivery, managing stakeholders, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve business and project objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall planning, execution, and performance of assigned property development projects to achieve business and stakeholder objectives.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from project planning and development through construction, sales implementation, and project completion.
  • Develop, monitor, and drive project master schedules to ensure timely delivery within budget, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee project profitability, cost control, risk management, and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders to facilitate approvals and project progress.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Project, Contracts, Quantity Surveying, Sales & Marketing, and Product Development to achieve project success.
  • Formulate and implement effective project strategies to enhance product positioning and market competitiveness.
  • Monitor sales implementation and project performance to achieve or exceed business targets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, quality standards, and environmental management requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project teams to foster a high-performance and collaborative work culture.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Property Development, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the property development industry.
  • Proven experience in township development projects and construction management.
  • Strong track record in managing the full property development lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of project management, contract administration, quantity surveying, product development, and construction methodologies.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project financial performance and business outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to based in Johor, applicant from other state is encourage to apply.


Preferred Profile

Experience leading large-scale mixed development or township projects.

Strong network and working relationship with local authorities and industry stakeholders.

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
