Full Time Senior Network Engineer Jobs, in KGiSL Federal Territory - Maukerja

• To participate and contribute in network projects such as telco SDWAN migration for bank branches, network devices refresh, Solarwinds enhancement, Gigamon enhancement, and patch management on network devices
• Maintain, configure and administer computer networks, Data Center Network, LAN / WAN, load balancers, wireless access points
• Monitor and maximize network performance via monitoring tools, observe health-checks, capacity and resiliency through assessment and carry out fine-tuning if required on network monitoring tools
• Provide support on all network matters which include attending to user requests and incidents, break-fix reports, upgrades and firmware patches on network devices
• Incident handling on network which include undertaking investigation on causes of network fault using appropriate tools and techniques, troubleshooting network related issues or outages, and escalation to network vendor or service provider as appropriate
• Perform upgrades and patches where required and collaborate with network team, vendors and service providers on optimization of network infrastructure which include LAN / WAN
• Participate in network projects, network capacity planning and disaster-recovery exercise
• Prepare, maintain and update network related inventories, diagrams, reports and documentations

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT related field of study with focus in network engineering, or equivalent training and experience.
• Strong preference will be given for prior experience of minimum 5 years in implementation and administration of IT network systems on both LAN / WAN within banking / finance environment, and deployment of network and infrastructure-related projects.
• Strong understanding of network systems comprising network infrastructure, hardware and technology
• Proficient in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure devices comprising switches, routers, load balancers, wireless access points
• Excellent command in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Has any of the below certifications with a minimum of 5 years industry experience:

Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Diploma / Diploma in Information Technology

Cisco Certification (CCNP / CCDP / ACI)

F5 Certification

Certified IP Engineer

Certified IP Routing or IP Switched Network

Certified Wireless Professional

Certified Packet Analysis

Huawei Certified Network Associate / Professional

Technical Skills

• Knowledge and skill in implementing, setup, configure, administer, manage and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (Cisco ACI, Nexus, Catalyst, ISE; F5 GTM, LC, LTM, Gigamon, Huawei Switches; Brocade Switches)
• Knowledge of networking – OSI layer and TCPIP suite and architecture (IPv4, IPv6, ARP, NAT, IPsec, ICMP, IP Datagram, TCP and UDP Protocol, DNS, DHCP, SNMP. Etc)
• Knowledge and skill in implementing, setup, configure, administer, managed and troubleshoot Layer 2 & Layer 3 network infrastructure (Static and Dynamic Routing – BGP, EIGRP, OSPF; IP segmentation, HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, VLAN, STP, LACP, NTP, DNS, DHCP, IPv4, SNMP, Logging, ACL, ARP, MAC, Security Hardening, etc.)
• Knowledge and skill in implementing, setup, configure, administer, manage and troubleshoot wireless network infrastructure
• Knowledge and skill using network sniffer tool to troubleshoot network issue, identify root cause and rectification
• Knowledge and skill on Network Management System usage network log analysis, network trending and analysis and network capacity planning.
• Knowledge and skill to prepare network diagrams, documentation, incident report and network analysis reports
• Has proven record of deploying and managing medium to large scale network infrastructure projects
