About the Role
Diamond Key International is seeking a Field Services Engineer to provide onsite technical expertise in supporting Terminal Automation Systems (TAS) and Non-Terminal Automation Systems (Non-TAS) within petroleum bulk depot operations. This role involves troubleshooting, commissioning, technical support, customer engagement, and supporting the growth of our Spare Parts & Services business. The position requires extensive field work and regular travel to customer sites locally, regionally, and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Field Services
- Providing onsite field services technical expertise in the field of IT, electronic, electrical, control & instrumentation and mechanical to effectively support all components of petroleum bulk depot Terminal Automation System (TAS) and Non-Terminal Automation System (Non-TAS)
- Provide technical support to the customer regarding the problem that occurs at the site (Gantry Metering line/skid, TAS IT system/network, PLC, and etc).
- To liaise with third-party product suppliers for system solutions encompassing third-party products.
Project Commissioning
- Assisting the project team to act as a project commissioning team when needed.
- Providing technical expertise in delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of IT sub-components of TAS for a new project.
Helpdesk Escalation Point
- Being point of reference for Helpdesk operations for engineering and field escalated issues.
Technical Support to Sales & Marketing
- Site visit and reporting on the technical scope
Generate revenue and protect margin for Spare parts & Services line of business
- Meet – and preferably exceed – agreed Business Plan revenue and margin targets in agreed (sub)lines of business as allocated by line management, and also by:
- looking for potential to up-sell DKI technical products & services labor hours on customers’ initial queries;
- developing accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features;
- Providing technical assistance and technical product education, and after-sales support services.
- Analyzing costs and sales to ensure that the respective proposal as per customers' request.
- Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
- Keep in touch with the customer to close the deals of spare parts.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- A recognised tertiary qualification in IT or Engineering.
- Minimum 1-3 years of on-site working experience
- Electrical, Electronic, and mechanical engineering background would be an added advantage
Experience & Personal Requisites
- Demonstrated customer relationship-building skills.
- Good aptitude for technical work within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Interest and/or experience in a multi-disciplinary role covering IT, electronic, electrical, control & instrumentation, and mechanical fields.

Business Travel

- Estimated travel requirement: approximately 70% of the role though this may vary depending on a sales prospect.
- Travel may occasionally include weekends and public holidays, all business travel is subject to company policy at all times..
