About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Analyst to join the Malaysia team, reporting to the Engineering Lead. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business — supporting system development, process improvement, and data analysis across the group's growing digital and financial services platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions that are scalable, compliant, and aligned to business objectives across fund administration, financial services, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain databases and data models using SQL, Python, R, or Java to support data extraction, manipulation, and reporting across business units
- Build and maintain BI dashboards using Tableau or Power BI and automate workflows via Jira, CRM Dynamics, and Zoho including Deluge scripting
- Support end-to-end business analysis including process mapping, requirements elicitation, use case development, and stakeholder communication
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy standards while producing detailed technical documentation including specifications and process workflows
What We Are Looking For
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or Java with experience in data mining, database design, and advanced Excel; familiarity with Git and version control systems
- Hands-on experience with Jira, CRM Dynamics, Tableau, Power BI, and Zoho platform configuration including Deluge scripting
- Strong business analysis skills — process mapping, requirements gathering, use case development, and excellent stakeholder communication
- Strong problem-solving and technical writing ability with experience producing specifications, data dictionaries, and process workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline
- Background in fund administration, financial instruments, or investment products is highly desirable
- Understanding of blockchain / distributed ledger technology and knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g. Paxos) is a plus
- Experience with Zoho platform including CRM, workflow, forms, service desk, and Deluge scripting language
