Job Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring, investigating, and analyzing security events and alerts using SIEM platforms such as QRadar.
• Support vulnerability assessment and management activities, including identifying security weaknesses and tracking remediation efforts.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
• Participate in cybersecurity awareness programs and initiatives, including conducting and supporting phishing simulation exercises.
• Review and analyze security logs, perform basic event correlation, and assist in preparing incident reports and documentation.
• Conduct preliminary threat intelligence research to identify emerging threats and support incident response activities when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security operations, processes, configurations, and procedures.
• Assist in evaluating, testing, and implementing security tools and technologies under the guidance of senior team members.

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and core information security principles.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems, including basic command-line administration and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to, or a strong interest in, cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM platforms, vulnerability assessment tools, and endpoint security solutions is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a dynamic and rapidly evolving cybersecurity environment.

Job Type: Internship

Pay: RM700.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
