Job Title: ROV Support Engineer

Department: Operations

Reports to: ROV Operations Engineer

Qualification:

• Tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering or similar industry experience.
• Proven experience working with ROVs and tooling packs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling technical enquiries from personnel operating TMT’s ROV/tooling systems, clients, operations, and asset managers;
• Handling technical questions from Purchasing regarding specifications of ROV parts to be ordered for the support of operational ROV/tooling systems;
• Generating jobs (after a formal approval process) for necessary manufacturing, repairing, testing for the support of TMTs operational ROV/tooling systems;
• Following tasks through the process and updating the operations manager on any delays;
• Conducting Weekly Operations Meetings with relevant TMT personnel to provide updates and track progress on outstanding onshore and offshore tasks
• Assisting in confirming that all equipment has been tested prior to it leaving the workshop;
• Liaising with the asset team to update the assets register with necessary technical documentation and test reports;
• Processing TFLs (technical fault logs) and passing on any related issues to the operations manager, engineering team, and supervisors on any issues and changes required;
• Preparing and managing and updating maintenance procedures;
• Assisting with the refurbishment and testing of ROV equipment in the workshop and offshore;
• Generating technical bulletins to update offshore personnel on potential issues;
• Assisting in the preparation of system mobilisation/demobilisation plans;
• Assisting with the mobilisation/demobilisation of equipment where needed;
• Reviewing ROV system certification to ensure conformance with applicable standards.
• Review DPRs, offshore equipment and personnel timesheet;
• Update and review offshore PMS as required.
• Updating procedures as per client’s requirements.
• Review and update any ROV documentation required for the project.
• Updating the technical fault log action register;
• Updating the open ROV action items list.
• Provide technical assistance on all of the offshore activities in the organisation
