Tanggungjawab

Job Purpose:

To act as a Data-Driven Technical Authority responsible for maximizing vessel uptime, reliability, and cost efficiency through proactive maintenance, predictive analytics, and structured technical governance, ensuring alignment with commercial and operational objectives.


Key Accountability:

1) Proactive Asset Performance & PMS Discipline

  • Plan, execute and record PMS tasks and surveys with zero overdue tolerance, ensuring reliability trends are identified early
  • Conduct daily review of vessel technical reports to detect failure trends and degradation patterns before breakdown
  • Maintain alignment with Asset Uptime Risk Register and vessel priorities


2) Failure Management & RCA Excellence

  • Raise, investigate and close Failure Reports within required timelines with full supporting evidence (PRO-*************)
  • Lead NCR, CoPQ and structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate repeat failures and improve system reliability
  • Ensure all failures are captured, analysed and converted into preventive actions


3) Technical Governance & Standardization

  • Enforce standardized maintenance and inspection practices across fleet (no deviation between vessels)
  • Audit quality of execution for critical maintenance tasks and testing routines
  • Ensure compliance with class, statutory and company technical standards


4) Inventory & Cost Management (Commercial Mindset)

  • Review as required technical PRs with correct SFI coding and cost tracking
  • Align with Vessel Manager on budget proposals and technical spending priorities
  • Manage spare parts as a strategic reliability asset, including identification of critical / long-lead items
  • Ensure technical spend is justified based on downtime risk mitigation and operational impact


5) ERP Readiniess & Emergency Systems

  • Coordinate ERP equipment checks, drills, and readiness status
  • Ensure all emergency-critical systems are maintained, tested, and fully documented


6) Cyber & Technical System Protection

  • Maintain cyber security controls for vessel technical and automation systems
  • Ensure system integrity, protection, and compliance with corporate standards


7) Crew Technical Competency Assurance

  • Verify and ensure crew technical competency, certification and readiness
  • Provide technical guidance and support to onboard teams to ensure correct execution
  • Ensure all SWI are populated and updated


8) HSE, Risk & Compliance Leadership

  • Apply HSE policies, Stop Work authority and manage technical risk registers
  • Drive a zero incident and zero defect mindset through disciplined execution


9) Governance, Ethics & Security Compliance

  • Adhere to Code of Conduct, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABAC), and security requirements
  • Ensure transparency, audit readiness, and full documentation traceability


10) Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management

  • Capture lessons learned and update technical knowledge database (BPLL) after every failure or intervention
  • Drive“1% Better Every Day” improvement mindset across fleet operations
  • Support cross-vessel learning and standardization


11) Act as Project Manager by default for port call, SPS, drydock, and major maintenance campaigns, with full accountability for delivery

  • Own end-to-end execution performance including:
  • Scope definition and control
  • Schedule adherence and critical path protection
  • Cost management and budget control
  • Quality, testing and certification readiness


12) Downtime Event Management & Governance

  • Ensure all asset-related downtime events are managed, controlled, and resolved in line with corporate downtime procedure
  • Own end-to-end downtime governance, including:
  • Failure registration (FRE) and accurate downtime classification (DT01–DT02)
  • Escalation and communication in line with defined thresholds
  • Alignment of CTC cost ownership (Asset vs Project) based on fit-for-purpose principle
  • Restoration of vessel readiness and protection of critical path
  • Ensure port call / mobilisation readiness failures that delay loading, sailaway or execution are are captured, classified, and subject to RCA and CoPQ governance
