Diploma in Pharmacy

Prior experience working in Tertiary Hospital setting is preferred

Willing to work on shift basis

Prepares and dispenses medications to patients with appropriate usage instructions according to the prescriber’s instructions.

Contacts the prescriber when in doubt regarding prescribed medications.

Supplies drugs to the wards and units according to the required par levels.

Prepares extemporaneous and galenical preparations in accordance with the special needs of patients/departments.

Assists in performing quarterly stock checks within the department as well as in the wards.

Assists the Pharmacist in departmental activities such as TPN services, patient counselling, and periodic stock checks for inventory control and expiry date monitoring.

Helps create and maintain a harmonious departmental team and fosters good working relationships with all staff across disciplines.

Works overtime as and when required.

Able to work shift hours as scheduled by the Pharmacist or the Head of Department.

Assists the Head of Department in planning, monitoring, and managing safety and performance improvement activities when needed.
