Job Description
- Implement and manage security measures to protect systems and networks from potential threats.
- Monitor and analyse security alerts, ensuring prompt response to incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Provide technical guidance on the implementation of secure systems and applications.
- Maintain and update security protocols and documentation as required.
- Assist in the investigation of security breaches and recommend corrective measures.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and advancements in cyber security technologies.
- Leading in coordination efforts with selected vendors for the assigned workstreams (VA, PT, Source Code Review, Risk Assessments, Red Team etc.)
- Performing periodic penetration testing on web applications.
- Review the risk assessments performed by various teams on the identified vulnerabilities.
- Drive the scheduling of the workstream program and remediation timelines.
- Present management reporting and dashboarding to stakeholders, with analysis of data and trends, and recommend next steps.
- Follow up on remediation actions, security and risk assessments with respective stakeholders and applications teams.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Cyber Security Engineer should have:
- A strong understanding of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Practical experience with vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory requirements within the Technology & Telecoms industry.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information clearly.
