Job Summary:
The Finance Assistant is responsible for providing support to the finance and accounting team in managing daily financial tasks. This role ensures that the company’s financial operations are accurate, timely, and compliant with policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software or Excel.
Maintain accurate records of receipts, payments, and invoices.
Assist in reconciling bank statements and petty cash.
2. Accounts Payable / Receivable
Prepare supplier payments and track outstanding invoices.
Process employee reimbursements and claims.
Follow up on outstanding customer payments.
3. Financial Reporting
Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
Support in preparing audit schedules and liaising with auditors.
Help in budget preparation and cost tracking.
4. Documentation & Compliance
File and maintain financial records and documents systematically.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
Assist in preparing and submitting statutory returns (e.g., SST, EPF, SOCSO).
5. Administrative Support
Coordinate with vendors, banks, and other departments for finance-related matters.
Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks.
Requirements :
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: 1–2 years of related working experience preferred (fresh graduates may also apply).
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, QuickBooks, Xero).
Attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
Good communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under minimal supervision.
