Our client are seeking a highly motivated Robotics Deployment Engineer to lead the deployment, commissioning, and optimization of Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) platforms in real-world operational environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and validating AGV systems, optimizing navigation and control performance, and ensuring reliable autonomous operation across agricultural and industrial applications. This role requires hands-on experience with ArduPilot, ArduRover, or PX4, as well as a strong understanding of AGV system architecture, sensor integration, and field deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities1. AGV Deployment & Commissioning
- Deploy, configure, and commission AGV rovers at customer sites.
- Set up and calibrate autopilot platforms, including ArduPilot, ArduRover, and PX4.
- Perform system validation, calibration, and field acceptance testing.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and stable autonomous operations prior to project handover.
2. System Tuning & Optimization
- Tune PID controllers for steering, throttle, braking, and skid-steer vehicle systems.
- Optimize navigation and control parameters based on terrain conditions, slope, traction, and mission requirements.
- Configure and validate RTK-GNSS systems to achieve high-precision positioning.
- Fine-tune sensor fusion settings to enhance localization accuracy, reliability, and overall system performance.
3. Navigation & Sensor Integration
- Integrate, calibrate, and validate key sensors, including:
- IMUs
- RTK-GNSS modules
- LiDAR and Radar systems
- Wheel encoders and odometry sensors
- Diagnose and resolve communication issues involving CAN, UART, I2C, and SPI interfaces.
- Validate obstacle avoidance, path planning, and autonomous navigation performance.
4. System Architecture & Technical Collaboration
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of AGV system architecture, including:
- Autopilot platforms (ArduPilot, ArduRover, PX4)
- Companion computer integration
- Telemetry and communication systems
- Power management systems
- Collaborate closely with Product Development and Engineering teams to enhance deployment standards, reliability, and field robustness.
- Provide structured field feedback and recommendations to support continuous product improvement.
5. Field Support & Customer Engagement
- Conduct system demonstrations, validation trials, and performance assessments.
- Provide technical support throughout deployment and implementation phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve field-level operational and technical issues.
- Support customer training, project handover activities, and post-deployment assistance where required.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
