Key Responsibilities
Linux System Administration
- Install, configure, harden, patch, and maintain Linux systems (primarilyRHEL-based distributions)
- Perform OS tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning
- Ensure system security compliance (CIS benchmarks, patching, vulnerability remediation)
Infrastructure Operations
- Manage Linux systems across development, testing, and production environments
- Provide Level 3 support for Linux-related incidents and issues
- Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations
Automation & DevOps
- Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Bash, and Python
- Automate provisioning, patching, and configuration management workflows
- Continuously improve system efficiency through infrastructure-as-code practices
System Monitoring & Reliability
- Monitor system health, logs, and performance using enterprise monitoring tools
- Troubleshoot system bottlenecks, kernel issues, and application dependencies
- Ensure high system availability and uptime
Hardware & Platform Support
- Support physical server infrastructure including installation andmaintenance
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for hardware-related issues
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and run books
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, security standards, and audit requirements
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration inenterprise environments
Core Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise in RHEL / Linux (LVM, networking, kernel tuning, system internals)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred)
- Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and familiarity with Python
- Experience working in large-scale, production environments
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Familiarity with containers (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
- Understanding of security hardening and compliance standards
- Red Hat certification (RHCSA/RHCE) is highly desirable
- ITIL certification is an advantage
