Job Summary

We are looking for a Building Services Technician (BSC) to support the operation and maintenance of building facilities and services at Kompleks PPJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance works to ensure all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair works on building services and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and civil systems.
• Monitor the condition and performance of building equipment and systems.
• Attend to breakdowns, maintenance requests, and emergency situations promptly.
• Carry out maintenance works on lighting systems, water supply systems, sanitary fittings, pumps, and related building services equipment.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in supervising contractors and service providers during maintenance works.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, workplace regulations, and company policies.
• Report equipment failures, defects, and maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in plant rooms, work areas, and maintenance facilities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Knowledge of building services systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and civil maintenance.
• Basic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read maintenance schedules and technical documents.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial building or government facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.
• Possession of technical certifications is an advantage.
• Valid driving licence is an advantage.
