Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented R&D Chemist to develop and improve personal care formulations including skincare, haircare, body care, toiletries, and cosmetic products. The candidate will support product innovation, formulation optimization, stability testing, regulatory compliance, and scale-up activities from concept to commercialization.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Product Formulation & Development

• Develop new formulations for personal care and cosmetic products such as:
• Skincare
• Haircare
• Body wash
• Shampoo
• Lotion/cream
• Serums
• Color cosmetics
• Reformulate existing products for performance improvement, cost optimization, or regulatory updates.
• Conduct laboratory batching, prototype development, and sample preparation.
• Evaluate raw materials, active ingredients, fragrances, preservatives, and surfactants.

2. Testing & Validation

• Perform stability, compatibility, and performance testing.
• Conduct pH, viscosity and sensory evaluations.
• Analyze formulation issues and troubleshoot product instability or manufacturing challenges.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and formulation records.

3. Scale-Up & Manufacturing Support

• Support pilot trials and production scale-up activities.
• Work closely with Production and QA/QC teams to ensure smooth commercialization.
• Investigate manufacturing deviations and propose corrective actions.

4. Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure formulations comply with local and international cosmetic regulations.
• Prepare technical documents and product specifications.
• Support product registration and regulatory submissions when required.

5. Innovation & Market Trends

• Monitor market trends, competitor products, and emerging ingredients.
• Identify innovative technologies and new formulation concepts.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams for new product development projects.

Requirement:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related disciplines.

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cosmetic or personal care R&D.

- Fresh graduates with cosmetic science background are encourage to apply.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
