Position Summary


The Supply Chain Manager (Procurement Manager) is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations of Exentec Services Malaysia, including strategic sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, and supplier performance. The role ensures the timely and cost-effective availability of materials and services required to support business operations while maintaining compliance with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements


The successful candidate will develop and execute supply chain strategies that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen supplier relationships, and support the company's growth objective



Key Responsibilities.


Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to secure reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality suppliers
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and manage local and international suppliers
  • Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, contracts, payment terms, lead times, and service levels
  • Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular supplier evaluations
  • Drive supplier development initiatives to improve quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through supplier diversification and contingency planning


Procurement & Purchasing

  • Oversee all purchasing activities to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials, equipment, and services
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate purchasing plans with production, engineering, project, and operations teams
  • Review and approve purchase orders, contracts, and procurement expenditures within delegated authority
  • Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks to support informed purchasing decisions
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and value engineering opportunities


Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage domestic and international logistics operations, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, import/export compliance, and transportation management
  • Optimize transportation costs while ensuring on-time delivery performance
  • Coordinate with logistics providers, customs brokers, and shipping partners to ensure efficient movement of goods.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and relevant governmental regulations


Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Lead warehouse operations to ensure efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch activities
  • Establish and maintain inventory management processes to achieve optimal inventory levels and accuracy
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock discrepancies, excess inventory, and obsolescence
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Drive warehouse productivity improvements through process optimization and digitalization initiatives
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts


Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering, production, finance, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives
  • Support demand forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory planning processes
  • Develop and maintain supply chain KPIs and performance dashboards
  • Lead supply chain improvement projects focused on efficiency, service, and cost reduction


Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sourcing, procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams
  • Establish clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
  • Build organizational capability through training and succession planning


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Material availability and on-time delivery performance
  • Procurement cost savings and cost avoidance
  • Supplier quality and delivery performance
  • Inventory turnover and inventory accuracy

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, CIPS, or equivalent are an advantage
  • Experience: Minimum 10–15 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role
  • Proven experience managing sourcing, procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial solutions, technology, or project-based environments is preferred.
  • Strong track record in supplier negotiations, cost reduction, and operational improvement
