Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for all hotel departments (Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, etc.), from sourcing to interviewing and hiring.
- Develop and conduct comprehensive orientation and onboarding programs to welcome new hires and introduce them to the hotel’s culture and service standards.
- Partner with department heads (HODs) to anticipate staffing needs, especially during peak seasons.
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, mediating conflicts, and ensuring fair and consistent disciplinary procedures.
- Develop and implement employee recognition programs, team-building activities, and wellness initiatives to maintain high morale and lower turnover.
- Conduct regular "pulse checks" or employee satisfaction surveys and action the feedback.
3. Training & Development
- Collaborate with HODs to identify training needs and facilitate professional development programs.
- Ensure all staff complete mandatory training related to health and safety, compliance, and guest service excellence.
4. Compensation, Benefits & Administration
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate tracking of attendance, duty rosters, overtime, and leave.
- Manage employee benefits programs and communicate perks effectively to the team.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
5. Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure the hotel complies with all local labor laws, employment regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Regularly update and enforce the employee handbook and company policies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an HR Manager in the hospitality or hotel industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of local labor laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices.
- Skills: * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High emotional intelligence and an approachable demeanor.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based within the hotel, but requires regular interaction with staff across all departments.
- May require occasional flexibility in hours to meet with staff working different shifts
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
