Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and management of facilities at Kompleks PPJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all building systems, infrastructure, and maintenance services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in accordance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee the overall operation and maintenance of building facilities and infrastructure.
  • Lead and supervise maintenance teams, including civil, electrical, mechanical, building services, audio visual, and support personnel.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Monitor the performance of building systems, equipment, and contractors to ensure service quality and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), environmental, and statutory regulations.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules, reports, budgets, and performance documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on maintenance and facility-related matters.
  • Manage maintenance contracts, service providers, and procurement of maintenance materials and equipment.
  • Respond to emergency situations and coordinate corrective actions to minimise operational disruptions.
  • Monitor facility operational costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure facilities are maintained to the required standards.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical), Building Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or property management, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of building services, preventive maintenance, and facilities operations.
  • Experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and service providers.
  • Good understanding of Malaysian safety regulations, building maintenance standards, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing government or commercial building maintenance contracts.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with contract management, budgeting, and KPI monitoring.
  • Professional certifications related to Facilities Management or Engineering are an advantage.
  • Valid driving licence is preferred.
