Job Description:
On site support in Singapore Data Centre that will carry out Provisioning and troubleshooting of DWDM, Router, Switch and fibre issues.

Roles and Responsibilities :

DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) Support

• Assist in installation and commissioning of DWDM equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of optical transmission issues.
• Monitor alarms and escalate complex faults to senior engineers.
Verify optical power levels and ensure compliance with design specs.

Switch & Router Support

• Perform initial configuration under supervision (e.g., VLAN setup, IP addressing).
• Monitor device health and interface status.
• Replace faulty hardware components as directed.
• Assist in firmware upgrades and patching activities.

Fiber Optic Support

• Conduct fiber cleaning and connector inspection.
• Perform basic OTDR tests and document results.
• Assist in fiber splicing under guidance.
• Maintain accurate fiber route and patch panel records."

Operational Tasks

• Respond to on-site trouble tickets and perform first-level diagnostics.
• Coordinate with NOC for remote troubleshooting and escalation.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Document all activities in the maintenance log and ticketing system.
• Preventive Maintenance
• Perform routine checks on DWDM nodes, switches, and routers.
• Inspect fiber trays and ensure proper cable management.
• Verify environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) in equipment rooms.

Soft Skills & Collaboration

• Communicate effectively with senior engineers and NOC teams.
• Provide clear status updates during outages or maintenance windows.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills.

Qualification, Skills, and Knowledge

• Fresh Graduate are welcome with at least CCNA or other industry standard related certification
• A strong interest on how Internet and data communications works
• A good academic result is plus
