Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute competitive sea freight procurement strategies.

• Negotiate rates, contracts, and credit terms with carriers.

• Secure space through allocation and basket agreements.

• Build and maintain strong relationships.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and joint business planning.

• Support growth of the sea freight product through market insights and carrier cooperation.

• Provide expert input on pricing for tenders and large customer quotes.

• Ensure competitiveness through strategic procurement input.

• Deliver monthly reports on volumes, carrier commitments, and procurement KPIs.

• Analyze market, carrier, and competitor trends to inform procurement strategy.

• Work closely with product, sales, and office teams to ensure aligned and cost-effective procurement.

• Share procurement insights and business intelligence internally.

Requirements:

• Must have sea freight pricing rates (or procurement) experience
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and internal teams.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new software and tools quickly.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Customer-focused attitude with a willingness to provide exceptional service.
