Sales Manager, Training Programs (E&E and Semiconductor Industry)

The Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting and selling industry-focused training, upskilling, reskilling, and talent development programs within the Electrical & Electronics (E&E) and semiconductor ecosystem. This role focuses on business development, client acquisition, strategic account management, and industry partnerships to support workforce development and strengthen industry competitiveness. The position requires strong engagement with semiconductor manufacturers, E&E companies, design houses, OSATs, equipment suppliers, industry associations, government agencies, and academic institutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to achieve revenue growth and client acquisition targets within the E&E and semiconductor industry.
  2. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for technical training, upskilling, reskilling, and talent development programs.
  3. Promote and market training solutions in areas such as semiconductor manufacturing, IC design, advanced packaging, testing, automation, Industry 4.0, AI, and emerging technologies.
  4. Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with semiconductor companies, E&E manufacturers, government agencies, GLCs, industry associations, and academic institutions.
  5. Serve as the key account manager for assigned clients, ensuring excellent customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  6. Prepare and present proposals, quotations, tenders, and customized training solutions that address industry workforce and skills development needs.
  7. Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, client engagement, proposal development, negotiation, contract execution, and post-training follow-up.
  8. Monitor industry trends, market developments, competitor activities, and workforce requirements to identify new business and training opportunities.
  9. Support marketing and stakeholder engagement activities, including conferences, exhibitions, webinars, industry events, and strategic partnership initiatives.
  10. Contribute to the development of new training programs and services, while providing guidance and support to junior team members and undertaking other duties assigned by management.

 

Key Success Factors

  • Extensive network within the E&E and semiconductor industry ecosystem.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, training sales, business development, or workforce development programs.
  • Comprehensive technical fluency across the semiconductor value chain, including: IC design, advanced packaging, manufacturing, test processes, Industry 4.0 and automation trends.
  • Ability to cultivate and influence high-level relationships with industry C-suite executives, government stakeholders, and strategic institutional partners.


Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Engineering, or a related field

• 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or the training industry

• Proven track record in sales, with strong experience in Electrical & Electronics (E&E) industry training program or other related technical training sectors

• Experience with HRD Corp-registered training providers is an added advantage

• Candidates with knowledge and experience in government/non-government and talent development processes (from proposal submission to claim submission) will have an added advantage


Personal Specifications & Attributes

• Strong sales and business development capability with proven ability to achieve targets, close deals, and grow revenue in the training or related industry

• Willing to travel nationwide and work outside normal hours when required.
