Job description:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Mathematics & Additional Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (IGCSE level).

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Mathematics and Additional Mathematics lessons in line with the Cambridge Secondary and IGCSE syllabi
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and teaching resources that meet Cambridge standards
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including EAL students and those with varying abilities
• Assess, record, and report on student progress using formative and summative assessments
• Prepare students for Cambridge Checkpoint assessments and IGCSE examinations
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into lessons
• Participate in school events, parent-teacher conferences, co-curricular activities, and professional development
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support whole-school initiatives

Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at an international school
• Proven experience teaching the Cambridge International curriculum (IGCSE or Cambridge Lower Secondary)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)

Desirable:

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field
• Experience teaching Additional Mathematics at IGCSE level
• Familiarity with inquiry-based and problem-solving teaching approaches
• Experience integrating digital tools in Mathematics instruction
