Job Title: Manager – Safety & Security

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager – Safety & Security to oversee the overall security operations, administration, and general safety matters at Ascott Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets, while maintaining compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Operations: Direct, administer, and coordinate the activities of the Security Department and personnel.
• Strategic Planning: Develop security plans, operations, and strategies to ensure effective safety and security measures.
• Training & Awareness: Promote Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) training and awareness programs.
• Daily Oversight: Plan and schedule daily activities of security personnel to ensure adequate coverage.
• Emergency Preparedness: Conduct training on First Aid Fire Appliances, assist in evacuation drills, and plan emergency response procedures.
• Reporting: Prepare daily situation reports and annual security goals, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions.
• Hazard Management: Facilitate corrective actions for safety hazards through management collaboration.
• Surveillance Systems: Ensure staff are fully conversant with security surveillance, fire detection, and monitoring systems.
• Access Control: Implement procedures for entry/exit of employees, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and vehicles, including discretionary searches.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate theft reports and exercise sound judgment in handling cases.
• External Liaison: Maintain cooperation with police and fire authorities.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor personnel performance, review logs, and correct irregularities.
• Manager On Duty: Perform Manager On Duty (MOD) responsibilities on weekdays and weekends.
• Additional Duties: Carry out duties common to all supervisors and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security management or a related field.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, emergency response procedures, and surveillance systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
