About the Client

Our client is a global technology consulting organization delivering innovative digital transformation and enterprise technology solutions across various industries. They are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and support scalable backend applications that power enterprise systems and business-critical services.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and J2EE technologies.
• Develop scalable and high-performing backend solutions within distributed system architectures.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs, web services, and backend interfaces to support enterprise applications and self-service platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to deliver system integration solutions.
• Develop, execute, and support unit testing and system testing to ensure application quality and performance.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and system-level issues while providing timely resolutions.
• Maintain source code repositories using Git and Azure DevOps while following coding standards and best practices.
• Produce clear technical documentation and maintain well-documented source code.
• Ensure timely delivery of development tasks while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
• Participate in technical discussions, implementation planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4–8 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and J2EE application development.
• Good understanding of distributed system architecture and enterprise application integration.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Good knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL.
• Understanding of API authentication and integration patterns.
• Experience using Git and Azure DevOps for source code management and version control.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and business requirements.
• Candidates must successfully complete a HackerRank technical assessment before the interview process.
