Job Summary

You are the breadth of the backend. Working alongside the Team Lead — the two of you are

the backend pod — you own the day-to-day of a Go modular monolith: the HTTP and

middleware layer, domain logic across funds, treasury, and identity, background jobs, and tests.

The Team Lead owns the most critical financial systems; you own everything around and

beneath them, and you ship continuously.

Key Responsibilities

Job Description

 Build and harden Go services; participate in architecture and API design.

 Implement financial logic with exactness — double-entry journal entries, idempotent

operations, ACID transactions.

 Integrate partners; handle webhook delivery, retries, and reconciliation.

 Write and review tests; review PRs; debug and resolve production issues.

 Improve observability, performance, and maintainability; keep documentation current.

Required Knowledge

Candidates should possess strong knowledge of:

 Software engineering principles and design patterns

 Microservices and modular monolith architecture

 Financial transaction processing systems

 Double-entry accounting concepts and ledger systems

 API security and authentication mechanisms

 Distributed systems and concurrent processing

 Database design and performance optimization

 CI/CD and DevOps principles

 Secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC)

 Cloud-native application development

Required Skills & Competencies

 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

 Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code

 Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities

 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

 Strong communication and documentation skills

Required Experience

 Minimum 5 years of backend software development experience

 Minimum 3 years of production experience using Go

 Experience building high-volume transaction systems

 Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment providers

 Experience working in Agile development environments

 Experience participating in code reviews and technical discussions
