The Project Engineer (Civil & Structural) is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of construction projects to ensure works are completed safely, on time, within quality standards, and in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements. The role serves as a key liaison between project management, consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and site teams to facilitate smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities and site operations.
- Review drawings, technical documents, and resolve design or construction issues.
- Monitor project progress, manpower, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual, quality, and safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, defect rectification, and authority inspections.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, submissions, RFIs, and technical records.
- Liaise with consultants, authorities, suppliers, and stakeholders on project matters.
- Support contract administration, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT), progress claims, and cost tracking.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company SOPs, and BCA requirements.
- Identify project risks, delays, and technical challenges, and recommend practical solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant C&S construction project experience, preferably site-based.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings, coordination, quality control, authority submissions, and BCA requirements.
- Good communication, problem-solving, time management, and coordination skills.
