Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our legal team in the banking & finance practice group. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality legal and practice support. The ideal candidate should have strong drafting experience and be comfortable in leveraging technology and AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in legal work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide efficient legal and practice support to lawyers in the banking & finance practice group.
• Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including facility and security documents and corporate approvals.
• Assisting with conditions precedent and conditions subsequent documents.
• Support lawyers in transaction management, including tracking key dates, maintaining checklists, and ensuring compliance with transaction timelines.
• Conduct legal and factual research as required, and assist with due diligence exercises.
• Leverage legal technology and AI-assisted tools to streamline drafting, review processes, and due diligence workflows.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and turnaround times through the use of AI.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Meticulous and able to multitask and ensure transaction timelines are adhered to.
• Proactive and able to anticipate needs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
