Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Implementation: Designing and building networks specifically tailored to the requirements of intralogistics systems. This includes connecting conveyors, robots, and warehouse management systems.
• Configuration of Fortinet Firewalls: Setting up security policies and VPNs to protect the IT infrastructure from internal and external threats.
• Cisco Network Configuration: Installing and configuring Cisco switches and routers for a reliable and high-performance network environment.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Analyzing and resolving network disruptions to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with automation and PLC technicians to ensure the seamless integration of network components into the plant control system.
• Documentation: Creating network diagrams, configuration documentation, and maintenance logs.

Qualifications

• Education: Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, IT System Electronics Technician, or a comparable technical degree (Bachelor/Master).
• Specific Knowledge:
• Fortinet: Practical experience with Fortinet firewalls (FortiGate) and ideally a certification such as Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP).
• Cisco: In-depth knowledge of Cisco network components. A certification such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a major advantage.
• Network Protocols: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and other relevant protocols.
• Industrial Networks: Knowledge of networking industrial systems, including protocols like PROFINET or Ethernet/IP.

• Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and resolve complex network issues quickly and efficiently.
• Teamwork: A willingness to design and implement joint solutions in interdisciplinary teams.
• Independent Work Ethic: The ability to drive projects and project results forward independently.
• Flexibility: Depending on the project, on-site assignments at customer locations and associated business travel may be required. During "Go-Lives" or "Major Incident Handling," occasional work outside of regular business hours may occur.
