The role – what is it we would like you to do?

Currie & Brown is currently looking for cost managers for our Malaysian office.

Successful candidates will work on global projects, and will have the opportunity for global relocation in the medium term, including a possible move to the US if eligible.

You will support our Directors in generating a high standard of service delivery to our semiconductor and high technology clients, helping to deliver certainty for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Your core duties will involve:

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients and undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision
• Assisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments and Providing support to the project director in cost management of projects
• Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player

You will encourage effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control

Always representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
• Currently living in Malaysia, or ability to relocate here
• Technical Cost Management experience
• Experience of delivering either semiconductor projects or a similar high-tech project
• Experience of project cost control, including management & negotiation claims
• A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
• CostX experience preferred, but not essential
