Job Summary / Purpose:

Management Information Systems (MIS) IT Engineer manages and supports an organization's internal IT infrastructure, hardware, and software systems. This is a critical role to bridge the gap between technology and business operations by ensuring maximum system uptime, provide robust technical support, and help implement scalable IT solutions that drive company productivity. The responsibilities include setup network, setup firewall, define policies, develop procedures, drive information security awareness, conduct trainings, lead AI adoption/implementation, execute IT applications usage efficiency improvement efforts. The role covers being the DPO to execute and govern PDPA policy.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• System administration who manages, configure, and maintain company servers, cloud infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure etc.), and active directories.
• Network engineer who setup and maintain LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connections to ensure data security and high availability.
• Applications support and optimize core business applications, including ERP, CRM, website and internal database management systems.
• Technical support and incident troubleshooting for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, Linux etc.), and peripherals.
• Plan and execute IT infrastructure projects, including deployments for hardware upgrades, network expansions, and new facility setups.
• Define, manage and execute policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with international standards (ISO etc.) and regulations (PDPA etc.)
• Register as Data Protection Officer (DPO) and responsible for PDPA compliance in the company.
• Manage routine system backups, disaster recovery protocols, antivirus deployment, and security patch installations.
• Design, optimize and manage the overall IT systems, network, servers, PC and applications usage.
• Analyse MIS data and drive improvement projects.
• Perform data collection, data analysis and prepare report for management review.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and software licenses. Liaise with external vendors for procurement and support.
• Manage and control all software licenses and installation, to ensure full compliance all IT assets and users in the whole company.

Academic and Trades Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a related field.

Professional certifications, Microsoft Azure Administrator, MCSA, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security+ / Network+, ITIL Foundation Certification, are preferred.

Work Experience and Skills:

• Experience in IT or Management Information Systems (MIS) administration.
• Require strong technical knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall management.
• Require proficiency in Windows/Linux Server administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud workspace management.
• Require planning, project management, data analysis and presentation skills.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
