Role Description The Design & Engineering Engineer will work on-site in Kapar in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of custom store fixtures and retail solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating client requirements into detailed engineering drawings, developing and refining product designs, and preparing CAD models and technical documentation for manufacturing. The role involves collaborating closely with production, project management, and quality teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with modular, global roll-out needs. The engineer will review prototypes, support testing and troubleshooting, and implement design improvements to enhance durability, safety, and manufacturability. Regular coordination with cross-functional stakeholders and adherence to internal standards, timelines, and compliance requirements are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design for retail fixtures or related products.
• Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise, including knowledge of materials, structural integrity, and manufacturing processes.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for 2D and 3D modeling.
• Candidates should possess foundational Electrical Engineering knowledge related to lighting, power integration, and safety in store fixtures.
• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Product Design) or equivalent practical experience in design and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and client briefs, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with wood, metal, or solid surface fabrication and familiarity with manufacturing workflows is advantageous.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in diverse teams and meet project deadlines on-site.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
