A well-established, international shipbroking house with a global network of offices are seeking a motivated and commercially-minded CPP Tanker Broker to join their Singapore desk.

The role focuses on the chartering and fixing of Clean Petroleum Product tankers, involving close daily interaction with owners, charterers, and traders across the Asia-Pacific and global markets.

This role is well suited to a broker with a solid grounding in tanker chartering who is ready to build out their own client relationships and take greater ownership of fixtures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day chartering activity for CPP tankers, matching cargo enquiries with suitable tonnage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, oil majors, traders, and other brokers in the CPP market.
  • Negotiate freight rates, laycans, and charter party terms on behalf of clients, working towards successful fixtures.
  • Monitor vessel positions, cargo flows, and market rates across key CPP trade routes.
  • Prepare and circulate fixture reports, position lists, and market updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Liaise with post-fixture and operations teams to ensure smooth handover and execution of fixed voyages.
  • Keep abreast of freight market trends, refinery activity, product arbitrage, and geopolitical developments affecting CPP trade flows.
  • Support senior brokers on larger or more complex fixtures and contribute to the growth of the desk's client base.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of enquiries, offers, and fixtures in internal systems.
  • Represent the company professionally in client meetings, market functions, and industry events.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in tanker chartering/broking, with direct exposure to the CPP (clean products) sector.
  • Solid understanding of tanker market fundamentals, vessel types and standard charter party terms.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Shipping, Maritime Business, Economics, Business, or similar) preferred but not essential given relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with key CPP trade routes and market dynamics in Asia-Pacific and globally.
