Responsibilities
As a subject Matter Expert in the SOD, BASIS, landscape technology and GRC domain. Responsible for SAP S/4HANA country implementation, safeguarding the SAP landscape, global template and design, overseeing process governance, process optimization, system enhancement and maintaining the knowledge centre
SAP Solution Architecture
Across multiple projects and organizational contexts, the SAP Solution Architect is consistently positioned as a strategic and technical leader responsible for :
- End-to-End Solution Design
- Develop comprehensive solution proposals and architecture strategies that align with business goals 1 2.
- Ensure feasibility, scalability, and compliance with governance standards (e.g., cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, data).
- Collaboration and Integration
- Work closely with functional and technical consultants to co-develop recommended solutions.
- Validate business process fit/gap analyses and ensure alignment with other platforms (e.g. tax/regulatory applications, SAP applications, other integrations).
- Technical Governance and Compliance
- Ensure solutions are secure by design and meet technical governance requirements.
- Validate configured data and escalate risks due to process deviations.
SAP GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance)
SAP GRC is a robust framework for managing access risks, segregation of duties (SoD), and privileged access. It includes several modules:
- Key Modules & Functions
- Access Risk Analysis (ARA): Detects and mitigates SoD conflicts and critical transaction risks.
- Emergency Access Management (EAM): Manages temporary privileged access (e.g., Firefighter IDs) for production systems.
- Access Request Management (ARM): Automates user access provisioning/de-provisioning.
- Business Role Management (BRM): Standardizes role creation and maintenance.
- Operational Practices
- Manage the mitigation controls and manage role conflicts. These are reviewed and approved through structured workflows.
- Privileged ID Management: Includes Firefighter, Cookbook, and Conversion IDs. Access is granted via SAP GRC Portal and auto-expired based on defined durations.
- Audit Readiness: GRC processes are aligned with internal and external audit requirements.
Responsibilities
SAP Basis
SAP BASIS is the technical foundation of SAP systems, responsible for system administration, configuration, and performance with following core responsibilities:
- System Administration: Includes installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP servers and applications.
- User & Role Management: Works closely with SAP GRC to manage user profiles and authorization.
- Transport Management: Oversees transport across non-production and production environment.
- Performance Monitoring: Conducts health checks and resolves system issues.
- Security & Compliance: Ensures secure access and supports audit processes.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
Mid Level
- Hands-on and applicable knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools would be an added advantage.
- At least 5 - 7 years working experience in SAP BASIS and GRC on SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA.
- Minimum 1-2 end-to-end project implementation of relevant SAP module on SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA.
- Experienced in cross-functional integration to other modules (FI, SD, MM, SD, PP and QM).
- Preferably SAP – Certified with relevant domain
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables within timelines.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Senior Level
- Hands-on and applicable knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools would be an added advantage.
- Above 8 years working experience in SAP BASIS and GRC on SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA.
- Minimum 3 end-to-end project implementation of relevant SAP module on SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA.
- Experienced in cross-functional integration to other modules (FI, SD, MM, SD, PP and QM).
- Preferably SAP – Certified with relevant domain
- Ability to work independently and manage deliverables within timelines.
- Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
