SLICKLINE ENGINEER

About the Role

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Geowell’s QHSE standards while acting as the Geowell’s onsite representative. The position involves executing slickline operations in accordance with approved procedures, and ensuring all equipment is properly prepared, maintained, and operational. The individual is accountable for client communication, timely reporting, and adherence to safety and operational requirements, while also supporting job planning, base operations, and continuous training to develop into a fully qualified Slickline Operator and Operation Support Engineer.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with Geowell’s QHSE Policy, objectives, identified risks, and respective control implementations.
• Ensuring compliance with Client Safety, Health & Environment policies, and conduct briefings, meetings, audits, and investigations.
• Serve as Geowell’s onsite Representative with full responsibility for equipment, personnel, and services, and act as the main point of accountability to the Client.
• Perform Slickline operations, including operating slickline surface equipment and toolstring configurations, and execute jobs in accordance with approved programs and procedures.
• Ensure all equipment is properly prepared before jobs and remains in safe, functional, and operational condition at all times.
• Oversee equipment servicing, maintenance, storage, and preventive maintenance programs, including inventory management of critical spares offshore.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required reports (e.g. Daily Slickline Report, JSA/Risk Analysis, Performance Reviews, Failure Reports, NCRs, Service Tickets, and Maintenance Reports).
• Participate in preparation of slickline and fishing work programs, as well as perform daily base duties and equipment/package preparation.
• Attend required meetings and training sessions and complete the structured development program to become a qualified Slickline Operator or Operation Support Engineer within 3 years.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates from mechanical/petroleum engineering are encouraged to apply.
• Communication and ability to read drawings
• Working knowledge of computer software – Microsoft Office (Excel, Words & Power Point).
• Able to communicate for job briefing and progress to Client.
• Basic knowledge on ability to read and understand well schematic plan.
• Basic knowledge of wireline tools string and familiar with various well condition and character.

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
