Job Description
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of all soft facilities services, including security, cleaning, landscaping, waste management, pest control, reception, mailroom, and other workplace support services.
- Lead and manage outsourced vendors to ensure contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently achieved.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, audits, inspections, and service quality assessments.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance and operational plans for soft service functions.
- Manage facilities operating budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising service quality.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and incident management activities related to facilities operations.
- Investigate service issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare operational reports, performance dashboards, and management updates on facilities performance.
- Support workplace projects, office expansions, renovations, and mobilisation of new facilities where required.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Facilities Manager (Soft Services) Should Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Management, Property Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years managing soft services within a large-scale commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, aviation, or mission-critical environment.
- Strong experience managing outsourced facilities service providers and multiple vendor contracts.
- Good understanding of SLA management, contract administration, and vendor governance.
- Familiarity with health, safety, environmental, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience managing operational budgets and driving cost optimisation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and external contractors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment with a strong customer service mindset.
