Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design & Test Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of electronic products with a strong emphasis on performance, testability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance. Your work will directly impact the quality, functionality, and cost-effectiveness of the products we deliver.

You will engage in activities including troubleshooting of hardware designs, design-for-test (DFT) planning, test execution, validation, compliance testing, and preparation of technical documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, and strong communication and problem-solving skills are expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain hardware designs, including microprocessor and peripheral circuits.
• Troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits at board and system level.
• Develop test plans and design for testability strategies.
• Conduct board-level and system-level validation, compliance, and environmental testing.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure optimal product development.
• Create and maintain design documentation including schematics, BOMs, and test reports.
• Manage prototype builds and implement engineering change requests.
• Support certification processes including EMI/EMC, safety, and regulatory testing.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electronic product design and testing.
• Proficiency in microprocessor/microcontroller-based systems (preferably ARM-based).
• Strong experience in memory system design, FPGA/CPLD/PAL logic design.
• Expertise in board-level schematic design and early testability planning.
• Familiarity with Ethernet and USB hardware design, testing, and certification.
• Experience with digital and power supply circuit design.
• Hands-on knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Skilled in EMI reduction techniques and signal integrity analysis using oscilloscopes, VNAs, etc.
• Experience with EMC/EMI compliance and environmental testing standards.
• Experience in managing prototype builds from BOM creation to final validation.
• Understanding of safety-critical product development and familiarity with IEC 61508 is a plus.
