Job Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end operations of the company’s e-wallet, e-money, and remittance business in compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulatory requirements. The role ensures operational efficiency, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, risk management, and excellent customer service delivery while supporting business growth and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
- Manage daily operations of the company products (e-wallet, e-money, and remittance services and etc)
- Oversee transaction processing, settlements, reconciliation, and merchant payouts.
- Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, and well documented.
- Monitor operational KPIs, SLAs, and system performance.
- Drive continuous process improvement and automation initiatives.
2. Regulatory Compliance (BNM & AML/CFT)
- Ensure full compliance with BNM guidelines, including FSA, MSB regulations, AMLA, and related policies.
- Support regulatory reporting and audits.
- Ensure proper implementation of AML/CFT controls, KYC/KYB, and transaction monitoring.
- Work closely with Compliance Officer on regulatory matters and reporting obligations.
3. Settlement & Reconciliation
- Oversee daily reconciliation of customer funds, trust accounts, merchant settlements, and partner accounts.
- Ensure accurate and timely settlement with banks, payment schemes, and remittance partners.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and settlement breaks promptly.
4. Risk & Fraud Management
- Implement operational risk controls and fraud prevention mechanisms.
- Monitor suspicious transactions and escalate potential AML/CFT issues.
- Support incident management and root cause analysis.
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
5. Customer Operations
- Manage customer service operations, disputes, refunds, and chargebacks.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints in accordance with SLA.
- Improve customer experience through operational enhancements.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with banks, payment networks (e.g. Mastercard), remittance partners, and service providers.
- Coordinate with Product, Technology, Finance, Compliance, and Risk teams.
- Support onboarding of new partners and product launches.
7. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the operations team.
- Set performance KPIs and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster a compliance-driven and performance-oriented culture.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, IT, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 4–8 years in operations within fintech, e-wallet, remittance, or banking.
- Strong knowledge of BNM regulatory requirements and AML/CFT framework.
- Experience in settlement, reconciliation, and payment operations.
- Proven leadership experience managing operational teams.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
