About the Role
We embrace AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot. While "vibe coding" is welcome here, we believe AI is a powerful tool—not a substitute for understanding what you are building. We are looking for team members who can effectively guide AI, rather than simply be guided by it.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver features across our web technology stack, primarily using React/Next.js and Node.js.
- Work across frontend, backend, and occasionally DevOps-related tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the founder on product strategy, technical architecture, and solution design.
- Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development while ensuring that all code is reviewed, tested, and fully understood before deployment.
- Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, write clean and maintainable code, and contribute to a scalable codebase.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and occasional whiteboard sessions.
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- 0–3 years of software development experience (fresh graduates with strong project portfolios are encouraged to apply).
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, including HTTP, REST APIs, Git, and basic database concepts (SQL and/or NoSQL).
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants and prompt engineering techniques to enhance productivity.
- Ability to review AI-generated code and identify potential issues related to performance, security, maintainability, and correctness.
- Strong written English skills, as most communication and documentation are conducted in English.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and modern React patterns (e.g., Hooks, Server Components).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Vercel, AWS, GCP, or equivalent services.
- Exposure to mobile application development, DevOps practices, or backend system development.
- An active GitHub profile, personal projects, or contributions to open-source projects.
- Previous internship, startup, or industry experience.
What “Knowing Basic Engineering” Means to Us
You don’t need to be a CS theory expert, but you should understand:
- Why we use version control and how to write a clean commit
- The difference between frontend and backend, and how they communicate
- Basic security awareness (don’t commit secrets, sanitize inputs, etc.)
- What “testing” means and why it matters
- How to debug — reading logs, error messages, and stack traces instead of just pasting them into AI
