Job Description (Software Engineer)

RunCloud is a fast-growing Software as a Service company that focuses on the cluster of Cloud Computing. The company was incorporated in September 2017 and served more than 10,000 customers globally, penetrating 100+ countries organically onboard over 50,000 domains within a year.

We are looking for Software Developer that will develop information systems by studying operations; designing, developing and installing software solutions; support and develop software teams. The Senior Software Engineer will lead a team of developers responsible for building new and support existing websites. Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills. Creative engineering balanced with high quality and customer focus. Must be able to work across multiple facets of the project and juggle multiple responsibilities at the same time. Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking to grow their career in a fast-paced environment.

The engineer is expected to:

• Explore new applications for implementation within the engineering team.
• Responsible for software development process definition and improvements.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing the documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Conduct code review, test case review to maintain the code and service quality
• Mentor and grow the development team.
• Work closely with the product and design team to deliver product enhancements and new features.

Technical Skills:

• Solid programming/coding experience in PHP (Well versed in Laravel framework).
• Have experience in NodeJS and GO is highly desirable.
• Experience with GIT, BASH and UNIX Shell scripting.
• Well versed in the understanding of web-browsing technologies including HTML, CSS and AJAX and JavaScript practices.
• Experience with CI/CD development & deployment tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Nexus is a plus.
• Experience with microservices, containerization and infrastructure automation.
• Excellent knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, design patterns, and asynchronous architectures.
• Strong in open source technology, software development, system engineering, scripting languages, and multiple cloud provider environments.
• Advantages for those who learn or use VueJS or any other front end framework.
• Having experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ and Kafka is a plus.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess or currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years above experience in professional web development.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience building complex web systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Have experience in developing SaaS products is a big plus.
• Preferably Senior Executives specializing in IT Computer-Software or equivalent.
• Candidate should able to work in Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya.
