Job Summary
Skud Technical is looking for a TAB Technician to support Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) works for HVAC systems on site.
This is a hands-on technical role assisting engineers with airflow measurements, instrument setup, site readings, basic testing activities, and site documentation in accordance with project requirements and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers during Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) works for HVAC systems
- Carry out air-side measurements for diffusers, grilles, AHUs, FCUs, FAUs, exhaust fans, and related equipment
- Set up and handle TAB instruments such as capture hood, anemometer, manometer, tachometer, and related testing tools
- Record airflow readings, equipment data, and site measurements accurately
- Assist with basic adjustment works under engineer supervision
- Support site inspections and checking of HVAC system conditions before testing
- Follow instructions from TAB engineers, senior engineers, and supervisors during site works
- Maintain proper care of testing instruments and site records
- Report abnormal readings, site issues, or equipment access problems to the engineer in charge
- Follow project safety requirements and site procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Malaysian citizen
- Certificate, Diploma, or technical background in Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services, or related field
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of site experience may apply
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems is an advantage
- Willing to work on construction sites, commercial buildings, factories, hospitals, data centres, or industrial facilities
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a site team
- Able to record readings and measurements carefully
- Willing to learn TAB procedures, testing instruments, and HVAC site practices
- Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on site work
- Willing to travel to project sites when required
Preferred Experience
- Experience in HVAC, M&E, construction site work, facilities maintenance, or testing and commissioning
- Familiarity with air-conditioning systems, ductwork, AHUs, FCUs, fans, diffusers, or grilles
- Experience using basic measuring instruments is an advantage
