Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the administration and management of main contracts and subcontracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare, review and administer subcontract agreements, purchase orders and contract documentation.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and participate in procurement and tender evaluation exercises.
  • Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Assist in the assessment and negotiation of contractual claims, extensions of time and dispute resolution matters.
  • Review contractual correspondence and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with project teams, consultants and subcontractors on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports, cost forecasts and management reports.
  • Identify contractual risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Maintain proper documentation and contract records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and project contractual obligations.
  • Perform any other commercial or contract-related duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in contract administration or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Experience in tunnelling projects in Singapore will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with standard forms of construction contracts and Singapore construction practices.
  • Good knowledge of contract administration, procurement, cost control and final account preparation.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a project team in a fast-paced environment.
