Job Summary
Skud Technical is looking for a Technical Office Engineer (TAB) to support the Testing, Adjusting and Balancing team from the office.
This role focuses on HVAC drawings, technical documents, drawing markups, report preparation, data checking, structured project files, and coordination with TAB engineers and project teams. It is suitable for someone detail-oriented, tech savvy, and comfortable working with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review HVAC drawings, layouts, schedules, and technical documents for TAB-related information
- Support engineers with drawing markups, take-offs, equipment schedules, and system references
- Prepare and maintain structured TAB project files, folders, checklists, and documentation records
- Assist with preparing TAB reports, forms, summaries, and technical submissions
- Check site data, readings, and report inputs for completeness and consistency
- Coordinate with TAB engineers, technicians, project coordinators, and managers for missing information
- Use AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, and document management tools to support technical work
- Track project documentation status, report progress, and pending technical information
- Assist in organising approved drawings, testing forms, site records, and final report documents
- Support continuous improvement of TAB templates, report formats, and documentation workflows
- Ensure technical documents are properly named, filed, updated, and controlled
- Follow company documentation standards and project requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Malaysian citizen
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Drafting, Construction Management, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in technical office, project engineering, document control, drafting, M&E coordination, HVAC, or construction documentation
- Able to read and understand basic HVAC drawings and technical documents
- Comfortable using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and document accuracy
- Organised and able to manage multiple project files and deadlines
- Able to coordinate with engineers, technicians, and project teams
- Good follow-up skills and willingness to clarify missing or incomplete information
- Able to work independently in an office-based technical support role
Preferred Experience
- Experience in HVAC, M&E, testing and commissioning, TAB, construction, or building services projects
- Experience preparing technical reports, drawing markups, take-offs, or project documentation
- Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, or structured digital filing systems
- Familiarity with TAB reports, testing forms, balancing data, equipment schedules, or commissioning documents is an advantage
